When I was a kid, time felt like it used to go by _so slow_
It was going to take forever to be summer again
Friday is so far away
It feels like forever until I'll be 16 and can drive
It'll be so long until we go on break for another holiday
...but now it goes by so fast
It's already almost Friday again, yesterday was just Monday
My kid used to be 2 and now she's 16 years old
I wanted to do something but I ran out of time
Not enough time anymore
It goes by so fast

A lot of the time in my life, the feeling that I wasn't fitting in with people, was often because it was simply just that they weren't my people
Not saying to sound condescending; it kinda reads that way
Still trying to figure out who I am
So I'd know a person like me if I met one
