The primary purpose of therapy is to help us become aware of the unconscious parts of our mind, understand and accept them so we can then begin having mature control over them. It's recognising the parts of ourselves that got stuck in survival mode and teaching them they don't have to live there anymore.

I wake up at 5.30 three days a week - sometimes four (depending on dinner commitments 😉) It’s changed my relationship to discipline - I find waking up pre dawn, meditating, working out all before everything is buzzing around you is a deeply soothing and satisfying practice. 5.30 club #itap

Reactive behaviour is any thought, word or action that comes from lack, fear or insecurity in order to connect with some form of instant gratification. This is a fantastic simple definition to easily distinguish between reactive and proactive behaviour!
