at this point neither the late nor the early morning cabals do matter because i live in UTC+3—I also feel like we need a 7/24 open-to-all on-air tavern—sorry for re-inventing the radio.

So yeah /tavern actually destroys X Spaces in many ways.
It mimics a live podcast much more closely, you can bring your own audio, it’s multi-platform, uploading media directly to the space is a massive win (esp for media-driven discussions), it’s got a richer linkage experience… list goes on.
I have been on a general hiatus from my weekly art discussion because I don’t want to use X anymore. Now, I think I’ve found the show’s new home.
