Jason Zhao mentioned that onchain is where he has seen research translate to production really fast.
Onchain means permissionless; it democratizes access, and anyone can innovate, implement, and iterate rapidly.

Story protocol seems like an exciting and very much needed potential solution to bringing IP onchain, but I'm confused by the decision to launch an L1
Wouldn't it make sense to focus on building the best onchain IP protocol on top of the best global settlement layer, as oppose to trying to be both at the same time? or is their something technically important that needs tweaking at the L1 infra layer to make the best onchain IP protocol possible?
