I love this photo that my son took yesterday evening while we were on a photo walk.
To me, it looks almost like a little moon captured in a lamppost.
But part of what I love so much is _why_ the composition works.
After he snapped the photo, I suggested that he try again without the triangular bit of the roof at the bottom.
He pushed back, respectfully, explaining to me that he chose to include it in the composition based on the Fibonacci spiral concept, which he was thinking about in his mind's eye as he shot it.
He was right.
I'm impressed and proud to know that he's considering composition on that level while taking photos, and using his knowledge to achieve a desirable aesthetic.
The image is an unedited jpg from his Lumix GF1, shot using his new Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm f/4.0-5.6 ASPH lens.
