ZM today’s reminder: zoom out and breathe. most of what feels urgent now won’t matter a century from today — but how we move through the moment does. LTW3 at 5 EST, Fractal at 6. https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zao-day-308

No one is ever finished learning but I have surmised I do believe that embodiment is how we snap into the reality we want, right now. No books, no manifestation journaling, no hope for tomorrow. Right now. Imagine your wish fulfilled. It’s yours. Then reality adapts to *you* Almost too simple. Feels like that’s why no one cares or believes it.

Awareness >>> It’s so easy to default to the most attention grabbing thing we have with reach Intentionally shifting that default to one of awareness can prevent distraction, reduce pain, and significantly increase productivity

Flow states, aka "optimal experience" or effortless attention, improves focus & productivity 🌊 The default mode network (DMN), or "mind wandering" is when we leverage our subconscious to solve problems in the background. /mindfulness is the point between the two, helping identify when to toggle into flow or mind wandering (ebb) https://youtu.be/PWLLQudhGug

Are we better off turning off notifications on all social media? I suspect the cheap dopamine from notifications is not worth the price we pay for it. Constantly shifting attention and not being able to focus deeply is doo big of a price. We are better off turning off notifications and allocating 1-2 windows of hourly sessions to check for social media. Unless you need it for work, I feel like what I describe is better than just having notifications on. Would like to hear thoughts and experience of others.

IF the body's sensations are a reflection of the thinking mind's state, then the flutterings can serve as your guide to the present moment :)

The observer effect is a paradox ✨ Being mindful of that fact can open the door to understanding the connection between contradictions and how you can leverage it to improve the expression

How mindful are you of your screen time? It’s easy to get caught up in the many things online, spending hours in the digital world. But it’s important to be aware of this time, and perhaps put a bit more intentionality to the actions we take online, so we can conserve energy for IRL ✨
