If anyone wants to grow a giant Monstera with a bunch of holes in the leaves you need to do a few things:
1) Give it a TON of light. I ran a grow lamp on mine 12 hours a day for the first six months I had her. I now have her in a giant south facing window.
2) Instead of fertilizing once in a while, mix a little 3-1-2 fertilizer with every watering. I actually just water them with aquarium water which does the trick. Monstera are heavy feeders.
3) You can also get foliar spray fertilizer which you can mist onto the back of the leaves every couple of weeks.
4) Keep them humid. My new place is very humid during the summer, but in my old place I misted them daily and twice a day during the winter.
5) If you replant them, the pot should only be an inch or two bigger than a current one and make sure to find a monstera soil mix. You don't want them in standard potting soil.

What a difference a year makes.
First photo is her first leaf since I started taking care of her. I just replanted her for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I can’t wait til all her leaves are growing in the same direction in her new spot.
