so... in the present (beta) instantiation of the app, I have to manually cycle the season each week. apologies about last week, I missed one week during what turned into the arweave push. we're now up and running and you should be able to create Evermarks that live forever on ArDrive - I just did one and the database upload failed, but otherwise it's working onchain. key considerations here that are open to discussion: what makes evermark a killer app? what are you looking for that you're not seeing yet here? as we continue to understand the problem we're solving and stand up what is increasingly looking just like a downright alien piece of technology, i'm here if you have thoughts! it's going to be slow, as Evermark is far from the only thing on my plate at present, but we're working toward something really good here and it'll be worth the wait.

Biggest Evermark news today: I’m getting to do a project for credit in school on what I think of as the scrolling media problem. As we scroll, we see content once and enjoy it and carry its meaning forward with us, but often times we are cutoff from the source of it. Search can be difficult, so unless you’ve shared it somehow, you might never find the content you want again. This is an ergonomic cognitive problem - it involves a memory trace that can’t reactivate. I’m hoping to do some real psychological research into this pain point and then try my hand at designing a streamlined solution for Evermark’s benefit. If it works, we all get a sweet new tool for our online toolbox - immutable, searchable, valuable memory systems with intuitive high quality user experience and financial rails for everyone’s benefit. Honestly I set out to build this thing in a weekend, whenever that was, but it feels good despite the lag because it goes deeper and deeper toward the problem. We’ll see a ecosystem begin to form here once the problem/solution becomes clear enough. Very happy to have a (mostly) functional tech stack to build on here, buckle up fam.
