ENS
ENS is an open source, blockchain-based naming protocol built on Ethereum, supporting multichain addresses & DNS. This channel focuses on the protocol, ecosystem, and integrations. Shilling & price talk will result in removal.

ENSv✌️is coming soon.
Next year we’re introducing two new products:
ENS App — for everyone claiming and curating identity.
ENS Explorer — for builders who need depth and data.
If you want to learn more about what we’ve been building read this:

Attention Delegates! 👥
Meta-Governance is seeking feedback during the ENS Retro. Should working groups operate on a continuity budget (~$234k / 4 months) or continue with approved funding (~$959k + 15 ETH)?
Term 7 elections resume April 1, 2026. https://discuss.ens.domains/t/temp-check-metagov-update-working-group-operations-during-the-ens-retro/21781?u=estmcmxci

Years ago, when I first spiraled onchain, I was a curious dweller on the ENS forum.
That curiosity morphed into obsession (true to my scorpio moon 😅) and evolved into shipping code that reduces DNSSEC verification costs by 98% via EIP-7951.
Here's why this matters.👇 https://x.com/estmcmxci/status/1856921566548037803?s=46

Vitalik’s bar is clear: apps should keep working even if Cloudflare disappears.
It’s time to set a new standard for application infrastructure:
→ ENS for onchain naming
→ Safe for collective control
→ Filecoin for content-addressed UIs
2026.

Proof this works in practice ↓
auction.nouns.eth — the core auction contract through which @nouns are minted — has set reverse resolution. Human-readable identity on the most critical path of the protocol.
ENS naming isn’t cosmetic. It’s operational trust onchain.

🌐 Adding a footer* to adamhurwitz.eth
Also I realized yesterday that I've reached over 3 million people through my open source impact!
*There's no footer component in @webhash.eth
• I added a button and changed the background color to match the background of the entire view
• Since there's a "Heading" component it'd be nice to have a "Footing" component and adjust the font size to be smaller than the normal button text

Just imported my DNS domain eketc.co onchain via ENS for $0.27.
It uses Algorithm 13 (P-256): 3.4M gas in pure Solidity. Pre-Fusaka this would've cost $200+.
Ethereum's new baseline is wild. The cheapest it's ever been to bridge DNS → ENS.
We're so back.
