i order gnocchi carbonara and a sweet looking salad from one of my fav italian places here in cdmx, after i cleaned, played with puppies, laid on heating paid and slept all day to try to hard reset from being way overloaded.
I got the doggos new toys cause xochi is now in the land shark phase where he can destroy anything in like 2 seconds with his jaws cause he's a monster lol BUT we are slowly finding toys he can't destroy. Kongs, nerf sticks and hefty ropes he is good with. Rope he can still shred and bite thru but it take a while and is really fine cause he can't pull the chunks off like plastic.
He bites me less which is good as we are now into the phase of he could really hurt me and others and I'm glad we were able to work thru his biting issue from being seperated from mom a little too early.
Xochi's toe is also healing. I got new nail clippers and grinder for both, glitch has always hated me trimming her nails but I've been more assertive in making her let me because they get so gnarly. But I was able to trim his nail on his broken toe fine without any seeming pain issues. Also he has been running around the apartment more and more in control bursts, but I try to keep him in check saying dont hurt your toe! Which he listens.
He is a very sensitive sweet boy overall with his gremlin moments, but he cares more about taking care of me than anything else. This means I'm going to work with him more on service dog training and hopefully get him certified as a full service dog somehow. He is natural at helping my panic attacks and depression - with panic attacks him laying on top of me like a weight blanket and depression he will bring me toys and be weird to try to cheer me up.
We soon will start to go outside more again, we've had to stay inside with his toe as much as possible dr's orders, so his outside behavior is pretty bad rn. We did go to 7/11 together to get water in the middle of the night when no one else was out to do a little store training, and I left him tied up at the entrance like I should (I used to bring him in cause he was too tiny). He sat like a good boy the whole time patiently waiting, cause we have worked on the wait command at home.
While there are still some training things I need to work with him still, he's at the age learning is so fast and easy tbh and we have bonded in such a way I think we will go far in it. He already rings the bell for water when he needs it, and learned how to shut my lights off and on cause I have touch lamps, so to me he's a genius and I'm wondering what crazy thigns I can teach him haha.
