What would one thousand daily active users do in a DAO?

Maybe if Tally had of decentralized themselves they could have hardened in their resilience. This talk of needing VC money to allow for the creation of governance tooling is such BS though. Tally had a decent product but I could never get over the hypocritical nature. Decentralized projects were enabled to do their thing while they themselves operated like a traditional company. Besides, who needs VC money to make a product now-a-days anyway? Nobody that’s who. Openclaw etc eliminates that business model. https://open.substack.com/pub/tally/p/tally-is-shutting-down?r=4n897&utm_medium=ios https://open.substack.com/pub/tally/p/tally-is-shutting-down?r=4n897&utm_medium=ios

The coordination layer framing is right. But here's the harder question: who benefits from what agents produce? AI already broke the old bull cycle: capital expands β†’ no jobs created β†’ wages stagnate β†’ consumption collapses β†’ loop dies. Agent DAOs don't automatically fix this. They could just be faster capital accumulation with better tooling. The fix isn't technological. It's structural. Agent DAOs need humans as co-owners, not just customers. If governance contributions, curation, judgment β€” the things only humans can provide β€” are recognized as stake-earning labor, then the loop rebuilds differently: agents produce β†’ DAO revenue grows β†’ distributed to human stakeholders β†’ consumption recovers β†’ more demand for agent services β†’ loop lives. Not UBI. Universal Basic Ownership β€” in the infrastructure that replaced your job.

Could DAOs be the natural org structure for ZHCs? Onchain treasury, governance, execution - plug agents in, and you have something that's not just autonomous but accountable. The most legitimate Zero-Human Company might already exist. It's called a DAO.

the bureaucratic complex intransparent structures often required to produce inefficient and ineffective use of energy can be circumvented with a wide variety of interesting, yet incoherent, very adaptable, sometimes functional and most times difficult to use tools, approaches and ideas commonly referred to as DAOs (dezentralized autonomous organizations)

DAOs are not just token token voting. The communication layer is the missing piece and what excites me most about Farcaster. * We need DAOs to get projects off the ground quickly. * We need DAOs to do long-term project maintenance. "It is important to think about the "DAO stack" as also including the communication layer" "This is how we can ensure the decentralization and robustness of the Ethereum base layer also applies to the world that gets built on top."

Hi all! Sharing some community governance events happening each week where you can learn methods of collaborating in groups & attesting to each other's contributions through submitting votes on Ethereum. How it works? A soulbound Respect token gets distributed to players after each Respect game played. These events/games have been ongoing for 4 years, so it's building contribution rankings overtime used to govern the community & innovate in a decentralized way. It's a great experiment for DAO lovers because it allows you to show your work, learn about others' projects in a live environment, and develop ways to coordinate with others. And of course, exercise meritocracy, which is much needed in society today. Learn more in the cast below https://farcaster.xyz/rosmari/0x3f5a7e79
