Dan Romero and the Farcaster team seem to be shifting the projectโs direction completely. When I joined, Farcaster felt like a decentralized social network where you could learn, meet people, and share ideas. That social and open culture was always the core. But now the focus has moved almost entirely toward the in-app wallet and trading features.
It feels like Farcaster has gone from a decentralized social protocol toโฆ a trading platform. For me, thatโs sad. Farcaster felt like a family, and it hurts to see something that once felt open and creative evolve into what looks more like Binance with messages.
Because of this, Iโm switching to a new client, Recaster, whose UI feel closer to what I thought Farcaster was meant to be.
What do you think about this shift?
Curious to hear your thoughts.
