When empathy turns into a habit instead of a feeling, something goes wrong. Lately, I’ve been noticing something strange and painful here. Under posts about loss, fear, death people write something like “great, cool, beautiful “ - generic words not addressed to a person, but to the algorithm. Social platforms taught us: stay active and you’ll be seen. The algorithm loves movement, numbers, and money and it doesn’t care about meaning. Sometimes it feels like my followers respond out of habit, not from the heart, just to stay visible, just to not disappear from the feed. I understand exhaustion. I understand the desire not to carry someone else’s pain. But sincerity doesn’t scale. It’s not about reach, rankings, or monetization. Sometimes silence is more honest than an automatic comment in the wrong place. Not every pain needs a response. But every pain deserves respect. And if nothing genuine resonates, maybe it’s better to pass by quietly. Without “cool.” Without “great.” Let’s choose sincerity, even if the algorithm does not see it.

American tax system is soooooooooo ancient!! I always told my parents, geez you guys still can't easily send money to other bank accounts in your own country. anyway, same with the tax systems, you would think the people would work out one stream-lined efficient system that all can benefit from. New Zealand taught me how a country can design national systems in an all-around more common sense way
