Hey I survived the burn :) Still on the road back from Black Rock City but arriving at final destination tonight!
The afterglow is real, had a beautiful night at the hot springs with fellow burners which I now call close friends.
Will post a huge retrospective later, I had one lined up earlier but it never went through haha

gm! Reporting from the playa! Things are going well, we have a huge shade structure for the tents now, it’s amazing. Also things are getting organized, tomorrow we will have a full kitchen, power, water, even a shower 😱
Friday 30 people will move in and then 70 more over the weekend! Our small settlement is growing 🔥
It’s an incredible experience to create a village from scratch and see the whole city around you come to life, new neighbors moving in and parties starting to happen.
We just rode around the heighborhood and we discovered a Saloon that had a bluegrass band play! It was bustling 🍻

Best analogy so far: Burning Man is like larping as a post-apocalyptic nomad. Tough conditions, creating space out of nothing, a popup community

I’ve been on the playa for 6 hours and it already feels like I’ve entered a different life. Thinking about going completely offline soon to only concentrate on this alternative experience
