My high schooler has been tasked to read many of the classics including Julius Caesar, The Thief of Always, Animal Farm, The Journey of Socrates, The Lord of the Flies, Romeo and Juliet, Fahrenheit 451 among others. When I his age and older, I assigned these books and barely read them. I attribute this to the many failings of my youth. So, in the last 10 years or so, I’ve been reading the classics - for the first time. Such great stories and I now that I deprived my younger self of the lessons within. It’s only been 6 years ago that I finished reading Orwell’s 1984 and how Big Brother wrote and rewrote history if it had even the slightest hint of being polemical or critical of the political party in power.
So, it is with this in mind, that I share @icetoad.eth ‘s cast about the party in power using a flimsy argument to prevent an interview of a Texas political candidate running for a senate seat.

Book 50 of 65: Fahrenheit-182
Been listening to Blink-182 nonstop since finishing Mark Hoppus’s memoir last night.
Probably the first memoir I’ve genuinely enjoyed (way more eloquently written than Travis Barker’s ahahaha). It made me appreciate Blink-182 and Mark in a whole new light. They’ve had a permanent spot on my Spotify Wrapped for years.
Does Tom DeLonge have a memoir that I need to read?? Ahahaha

Book 47 of 65: Why We Swim
A recommendation from @mikkidoralives! As a person who swims for survival and not for fun, people who swim in open water are a different breed ahahaha. I can’t believe people swim in the SF Bay for fun???

When Breath Becomes Air, it changed my perspective of the meaning of life. I recommend this book to everyone but especially those that have a hard time slowing down and always chasing the next best thing.
