/base runs a multi-billion dollar chain. But if you walk into their Discord #official-links today, here's what you find:
GitHub still points to github.com/base-org — archived by admin on Feb 13, 2025. Over a year ago. The active repo moved to github.com/base. Any dev who follows that link hits a dead end immediately.
TikTok link is stale too. The real account is @base_onchain, launched back in Oct 2024. But the Discord still sends people somewhere else — or nowhere useful.
Frens, this isn't a small indie project. This is a Coinbase-backed L2 with thousands of builders onboarding every month. First thing a new dev does — opens the official Discord, clicks the GitHub link, gets a "no longer maintained" banner. That's the first impression.
It takes one person 10 minutes to update 3 links.
Base, the chain is solid. The housekeeping? Not so much. Frens, who's managing this? Maybe it's @jesse.base.eth 😜
