base app is running trading incentives on swaps right now — right as "future base token" talk peaks. not a coincidence: incentives = volume + active wallets ahead of a possible decentralization. terms (new / not-yet-swapped users): — first swap $100+ → $10 — first swap $250+ → $25 — hold min $75 (tier 1) or $187.50 (tier 2) for 30 days two separate swaps to get both. verify exact numbers in-app, terms change. but keep it straight: base has no official token yet. @jesse.base.eth said "it's time for a token," but no date, no promises. polymarket ~69% for a launch by year-end. so: incentives are incentives, not a guaranteed drop. trading in the app? fine. going in purely for a hypothetical token? lottery, not a plan.
