Application submissions where the win makes me feel popular ≠ application submissions where the win earns me money like a grant, in addition to professional accolades. What are you doing it for? I ask myself each time. And I have to think carefully each time, sifting the sands of my soul for the answer. Being intentional means, sometimes, sitting out a play or two, or four in service of the greatest outcome for the legacy you/we want to lead with—it’s not a question of whether you’ll be known when you’re good at everything you do; rather WHAT do you want to be known for? Your namebrand legacy thing? Or some other random (but solid) thingy ya also built?

I’ve been so mean, not showing you any of the (digital) ass or fabulous titties I’ve been sketching. 😆 Still dialing in all the elements for this collection of old world but new flesh charcoal nudes collection I iterated on a plane from the desert to Miami to spend some time with my favorite artists. I thought I was gonna have this thing done a week ago, but it just hasn’t come together in a way that feels finished to me. However it pained me not to enter it into the call for art for NFT Paris, I’m sure it’s all to the good; I didn’t have the branding for the collection ready to my taste. One of the things I love about myself is: I stand by even my earliest works with pride, and the reason I can do that is because I don’t put out anything until it’s truly ready and I really fully love it. That said, here’s an amuse bouche: currently still a WIP…

🎼 Allow me to re-introduce myself… Hi. I’m Maxximillian, polymath creative—visual and performing artist and world builder; I don’t mean only the metaverse. I am a futurist writer; I build worlds I perceive and envision. Thē lifestyle, the culinary culture, the fashion, the music, all of it. One of the features I appreciate most about onchain technology is our ability present pieces of a larger vision as treasures anyone can capture in a way that’s seen and felt by myself as the creator. In the past, art has been a very solitary activity. Content creation, for the most part, hasn’t helped art get better but it has helped many creators come out of our respective shells to be warmly welcomed and appreciated in multiple ways.
