As we zoom out on Flow Caster, we've successfully run two versions of funding campaigns: 1. peer-curated, fixed recipient list; 100% crowdfunded 2. metrics-driven, weekly recipient list; sponsored + crowdfunded Thanks to all the real ones, we've streamed almost ~$64k to independent builders 🤑. But the Farcaster landscape has evolved, and these setups have naturally run their course. We anticipate having more $SUP to work with in @superfluid SPR S6 (~June) across Flow State apps. Our goal, as always, is to create more impactful, sustainable ways to fund builders and communities. So if you have ideas/passion/needs for alternative funding sources, curation mechanisms, donor experiences, or target recipients, we'd love to hear from you! We have some great technical primitives and are keen to explore them in new communities, apps, and models. Let's build 🫡

Alright, friends... it's bittersweet to announce this week's top @arbitrum builders list will be the final one with the 2.5k $USND sponsored flow. 🙏 Big big thanks to the Arbitrum Foundation for supporting independent builders. Farcaster platform rewards are returning with the Clanker Ecosystem Fund, but the AF was out here funding FC-native experimentation when literally no other big player was. Respect. 🫡 😮 Flow State still has ~400k @superfluid $SUP rewards streaming to Flow Caster donors through May 15th, so we'll mix things up with XP allocation next week to hopefully create some juice. I think this goes against the ethos of what decentralization was meant to bring. I understand that L2s aren't inherently decentralized, but we're moving further and further away from the ideals blockchain originally fought for. Today they freeze NK hacker funds. Tomorrow they freeze funds over an uncomfortable opinion posted on X. The day after that you're unbanked and we've come full circle. If you're holding a few hundred million in funds, it's your job to keep them secure. And while I empathize with DeFi protocols getting hacked, if they're not taking security seriously then maybe that's the cost of those decisions. I certainly don't believe in funding NK on a personal level, but I believe even less in blockchain transaction censorship. It starts like this and ends in a really bad place. Probably another great use case for BTC.
