Appreciation 11/02/26 Korean Bingsu - It was unusually warm today, especially for it being November in Canada. Nonetheless, we took advantage of the warmer weather and went out for some Korean desserts! I’ve been craving the Korean shaved ice dessert known as Bingsu and so I took my bf out to ensure he would try it and see how he’d like it. We got the original Bingsu with the sweet red bean, mung bean powder, crispy flakes and almonds. I didn’t think he’d like it, but surprisingly, he actually enjoyed it! Appreciation 11/01/26 Sushi 🍣 - We tried a new sushi restaurant this afternoon that was near my bf’s work. They had an opening special which included sashimi of salmon, snapper, tuna cheek and mackerel. I have to say that this sushi was probably the best I’ve had all year. I appreciate the sushi chef for pulling all the stops to create this platter of sushi that almost looks like art using edible flowers and plants. Thanks again @commstark ❤️ Streak 863!

Appreciation 10/30/26 Cook books 📕 - My friend who is amazing cook decided to give me one of her cook books. After going through the book, I realized a lot of the amazing dinners she has prepared for us, were from this cook. Appreciation 10/29/26 Patrick Stewart - Today is a solemn day with Patrick Stewart passing. I wanted to take the time to appreciate this man for his contribution and dedication to create amazing cinema. When I immigrated to Canada from Korea, Star Trek was my favourite show. It was my gateway into the sci-fi genre and also the very show I watched and helped me learn English. I have been a science fiction nerd since and I have not looked back. Appreciation 10/28/29 Chicken pho 🍜 - I’ve had a lingering sore throat and cold for the past week and so I decided to make us some chicken pho. I appreciate chicken pho because I feel like the salty and fatty broth really helps restore some much needed electrolytes when you’re sick. I also think it tastes really good! Appreciation 10/27/26 Appreciating living the way you want - My friend sent me this quote and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. We’ve become so reliant on how people perceive us, we forget we waste so much time and energy on trying to look cool. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to really appreciate my life and have lost all care about how others perceive me and how I lead my life. We are all going to eventually die, so why does it matter how goals are achieved? As long as it makes you happy, you do you! Make a scene and appreciate every day! Appreciation 10/26/26 Fall colours 🍁 - I went for my morning walk and took the time to actually look up at all the trees and take in the beautiful colours of the leaves! Living in Canada has really made me love the fall colours of all the variety of maple trees. Appreciation 10/25/26 Homemade Jerk Chicken - My bf said he would make me my favourite Jamaican dish, Jerk chicken! He actually made rice and peas and a side of coleslaw too! It’s been some time since he cooked me a meal but I have to say, this meal absolutely slapped and the jerk was done perfectly! I appreciate my bf for going out of his way to make dinner for us! Appreciation 10/24/26 Wine by a camp fire - We met up with a couple of friends this weekend for a quick camping trip. We arrived a bit late but in time for wine by the fire. I appreciate my friends for hosting this camping trip this year and organizing the camp site and putting up the tents. Appreciation 10/23/26 Haunted mazes - My bf and I headed to a haunted farm maze tonight! I have to say the prices were a little steep but the farm did a fantastic job scaring its patrons. I appreciated how the actors all stayed in character and continued to scare the guests till they ran out of the maze. I see myself as someone who is usually fearless, but tonight, this maze got me! Appreciation 10/22/26 Halloween Pumpkins 🎃 - I had to pick up niece from school today because my sister was busy. The last time she was here we decorated a cat pumpkin. Today she wanted to do something totally different and try and make the monster of Frankenstein! I appreciate the art supplies that the stores put out during Halloween, this includes this super highlighter green paint that glows in the dark. Appreciation 10/21/26 Oat muffins - I had the day off today to finally bake! I ended up having some oats that were getting a little bit old and some strawberries, so I made strawberry oat muffins! I appreciate how muffins can be made using so many different ingredients but they often come out tasting so good! These came out super moist and the strawberry bits really helped balance out the sweetness! My bf ate 3 in one sitting. Thanks again @commstark ❤️ Streak 852!
