Appreciation 09/18/26 Charcuterie - When you’re craving cold cuts, cheese and crackers, and when your bf brings you exactly that, by taking you to a restaurant. You know you’ve made it in life! I’ve been having a pretty rough go at work this week and it was a really nice surprise when he took me out for this date. We paired this lovely food with some beers and an orange gin and soda. Appreciation 09/15/26 Praying Mantis’ - This little guy decided to join us for lunch outside on the picnic bench. He was stalking a fly on the table but the lucky fly got away. As my coworkers were freaked out about the insect, I decided to move him to a safer location on a small tree. I appreciate nature for its complexity and beauty. Seeing this assassin of a bug is really cool. It’s also amazing how well these bugs can catch bugs with their super cool arms. Thanks again @commstark ❤️ Streak 816!

Appreciation 09/14/26 Sunflowers 🌻 - We went for a bike ride just north of where we live and to our surprise there was a farm loaded with sunflowers! I appreciate Sunflowers for how pretty they are and how they can make any down day, feel just a little bit better. They are among my favourite flowers and I always love seeing them! Appreciation 09/13/25 Homemade bagels 🥯 - If you saw this photo and immediately knew I was making bagels, you are correct! We got a recipe from one of our baker friends and decided to give it a try. The process of making the dough was very similar to that of making bread but it’s amazing how the texture is so different because of how you handle the dough. I appreciate that you can enjoy bagels in so many ways, sweet or savory. I also love that cream cheese goes so well with them. We made everything bagels, where I usually put cream cheese and cucumbers. Thanks again @commstark ❤️ Streak 814!

Appreciation 09/12/26 Ciders - We went on a date to Hamilton, Ontario this afternoon to check out a cider brewery. We tried the cider flight and they were super tasty! We ended up getting the apple, citrus and black current and they were all super crisp, fruity and very refreshing! I appreciate how fruit can be made into these wonderful ciders and I also appreciate the idea of having flights to try different flavours. Steel town ciders, thank you! Appreciation 09/11/26 Domino’s meat lovers pizza 🍕- We both had a busy day at work and didn’t want to cook anything, so we ended up getting some Domino’s pizza. Out of all the major pizza franchises, I think I like Dominos the best. I appreciate the taste and texture of the crust, the umami of the mozzarella, and how the pepperoni, ham and bacon are always the perfect size. Thanks again @commstark ❤️ Streak 812!
