I’m thrilled to be taking part in Interweave, an upcoming group exhibition at Gazelli Art House in London, alongside Adam de Boer, Bea Bonafini, LoVid and Joan Truckenbrod.
The exhibition explores how cultural histories, personal narratives, ecological networks and technological processes are continually woven together, bringing traditional textile practices into dialogue with digital image-making, computational systems and AI.
For the exhibition, I will be presenting three tapestries.
Each begins with an image generated through my own AI-based processes before being translated into a richly material woven surface made from cotton, wool, viscose, metallic fibre, acrylic, polyester and sequins.
