Trump is preparing new tariffs for US trading partners

Within the next two to three weeks, Donald Trump's team plans to set new tariff rates for countries trading with the United States. According to Trump, the administration does not have the opportunity to conduct negotiations with each country individually - there are not enough resources.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnyk will begin sending official letters outlining the cost of doing business with the United States.

Trump said that about 150 countries are interested in concluding trade agreements, but did not specify who exactly will be on the first list of recipients.
