Fascinating stuff, really interesting how the premium on the source material rises as it becomes ... More premium? And more referenced (in discourse, derivative designs etc)?
Lesson there, maybe, since there is no direct enforcable "IP" it marks its premium from as much as the influence it commands.
Reminds me of @charliecf 's Headless Brand essay. It didn't work with Nouns but brands like Prada actually kinda prove his point.
