mastadon community experience depends on the server and the content quality is still somewhere below threads and bsky (which are, in turn, far below twitter (but maybe I haven't found the right server)). I do see it as potentially more resilient purely from a (lack of) fundraising/cost/adoption POV than bsky, and activity pub getting picked up by web2 companies is interesting* lowkey think if I wanted to invent a web3 social protocol, I'd want to dogfood some other decentralized tech and see where crypto is a net-capability add vs inventing it entirely wholecloth. I know a few builders who've built web3 primitives into bsky. would be curious if anyone has done the same w/ mastadon.
