Recently, I noticed that the prices of some imported goods have gone up when I was shopping at the supermarket. Especially fruits and everyday items. Later, I found out that this is related to the US-China trade war. The US has imposed a 125% tariff on Chinese goods, while China has added an 84% tariff on American goods.
These tariffs have caused prices to rise. The prices of imported goods, like American beef and Chinese electronics, have gone up. To deal with this, I started choosing local products. Although the quality and supply of local goods might differ from imported ones, they are cheaper.
My shopping habits have also changed because of this. I buy fewer imported goods and look for alternatives. If I shop on cross-border e-commerce, I also try using cryptocurrency to pay, which might reduce some transaction costs.
