Appliance shopping in Japan is so good. Whether I’m looking for a rice cooker or air conditioner, the staff know their specs cold and are incredibly helpful. 

Online still doesn’t come close, but very curious if gen AI will close the gap in the future (it’s not even close right now)

I wish going to the store wouldn't result in me being sold what gave the biggest commission. 

Then I'd shop in store more often since I actually like going shopping. Just don't want to feel taken advantage of.
