yes, the israeli equivalent of the pentagon is located in tel aviv - this has been public knowledge for decades no, the IDF does not *fire rockets* from underneath schools and hospitals like hamas does for context: 1. hakirya was built on the old british sarona compound in 1948 when tel aviv was the provisional capital; the city later grew around it 2. proximity to the defense ministry, intelligence divisions, and ben gurion airport makes it more operationally efficient to keep in tel aviv 3. *this is standard practice* - many states put military hq's in / near their political or urban centers (including the US) stop being misleading to get attention
