The Effects of Too Much Phone Use
Excessive smartphone use can greatly affect both our physical and emotional well-being.
Physical Symptoms: This includes digital eye strain, hazy eyesight, and sleep as well as Text Neck—neck and back pain from hunching over the screen. Interruption caused by blue light from screens.
Increased anxiety and despair often resulting from social comparison online can result from regular usage of mental and social effects. It also reduces our capacity for focus, lowers output, and in actual life can cause social isolation.
Addiction: In extreme cases, people can develop a psychological dependency on their phone, which causes anxiety and stress when they are not allowed to use it.
It is advised to restrict screen time, take frequent breaks, and not use your phone just before bed to reduce these harmful consequences.
