I’ve been thinking a lot about values and core beliefs I want to model.

What will keep the next generation engaged versus bored? 

To have a strong moral or ethical compass and sense of self.

To confront negative feedback or unpleasant emotions gracefully.

To value others opinions and priorities inspite divergent views.

To respectfully disagree and to argue from a different point of view. 

To be self aware of biases (confirmation, sunk cost, geographic, etc). 

To be kind to others and yourself with patience, grace, and resolve. 

To have cultural fluency and literacy to form strong opinions weekly held.

To know that ego can be the enemy and arrogant youth an obstacle.
