Second market was trying to do this, but a lot of early Facebook and Twitter employees sold their shares before the IPO‘s at a killing with the paper evaluation higher than on the public market… I think Nasdaq bought them, but most tech companies wised up and prevented the transferability of them

more so a musing along the lines of accreditation laws paired w old ass systems that are not setup to give true liquidity for privates
