Yes, I still check his socials. His posts, his replies, sometimes even his likes.
Have I moved on? Absolutely. I’m not waiting for him to come back. I’m not heartbroken over him anymore.

But before you ask why, this was how I found out he was cheating.
Scrolling through his page, reading the comments, connecting the dots. It was like being my own detective when my gut was screaming at me that something was off.

So now it’s weird. It’s become a habit I haven’t completely broken. A leftover defense mechanism, like my mind saying, never be caught off guard again.

It’s funny how the coping skills you build to survive hurt don’t always disappear just because the person is gone. They linger. Even when you know you’re okay without them.
