Yeah, I washed the dishes and mopped the floor, then got on bluesky and made some MJ images in response to fun challenges. Learned that MJ video has released new features like looping. Bounced around from farcaster, bluesky, and x, but did not do the updates to my website I should have done.

The details; a day in the life. I got up early for a zoom call with one of the techs at OneHub so I can better learn how to monetize that platform. Then I watched a webinar live on YT with The Hug team at Art dot com where they introduce the IMX3 dot Art metaverse built specifically for artists to display IRL work in their gallery platform. Then transitioned to my job where I focused on optimizing PDFs for accessibility and prepping them for a webpage that needs to go live tomorrow. I also had a training call with the marketing team so they could teach me the new website refresh back end so I can help them add alt text to their media library images. Cook, eat. Back to the personal computer to finish to-do tasks from this morning. Farcaster is bribing me to post a video so I oblige with my tester video from Pika. I'll be working on my AI art or patterns tonight till 11.

Here is last night's test result of Pikaframes from Pika Labs. I gave it two still images and described the animation I wanted. From one vaporwave planet to another.

Here is my newest animated gif PFP that I use on Webbie Social! It's my original twilight angel NFT/PFP done about 3 years ago morphing into an angel I made this year in the newest MJ7. "Angel checks her email".

sad and good at the same time. I hear you. Love that closing phrase - burn like a candle, not like a house. I used to see demolished old houses in the edges of the suburbs and felt like I could write a book about them, like that demolished structure is me, getting razed to the ground to build something better in its place.

I did the Fox Island field trip in 12th grade. Loved it so much that I turned one of my photographs of the lodge into a silkscreen on fabric. Over the years I occasionally check in on how the educational center is doing, so I knew when they had to close it, but I was not prepared to hear about this disaster. Yeah, they turned it back into a hunting lodge, so there may have been gunpowder or something on premises.

ohmygosh I just looked it up, and Fox Island has been destroyed by fire. https://www.bayjournal.com/news/climate_change/flames-in-the-chesapeake-fox-island-s-beloved-former-education-center-destroyed-in-fire/article_aeaabb62-cc08-11ee-b304-9f804231ed0e.html

That's impactful for the species who depend on the seagrass for cover and protection from predators. It's just bad news all around.

Yeah this has been happening in estuaries for decades. I watched the Chesapeake Bay's ecosystem change dramatically due to pollutants in runoff from agricultural fertilizers and other soaps & pollutants. In the 80s and 90s the crab catches dried up a lot. (yup, algal blooms) And the island where I went to study the Chesapeake was so subject to rising water that it became unsafe; in the mid 2000s, the learning center had to close for good.

Today I continued working on this same user story. Post is appropriate for any responsive site or app using an external sortable table/grid. I took a deep dive with AG Grid table cell highlighting today (as a UI designer). My grid allows cell highlighting. My team wants to dynamically highlight cells that have missing data, so our scientists can find those cells easily and fill in missing info. When I did a round of testing with different system color themes, I found issues for users who have the dark mode enabled, and even more issues for users with the PC accessibility high color contrast mode enabled. Essentially, the high contrast themes wipe out all color. To keep this post brief, I would suggest any dev or UX designer look up how to override the contrast theme to apply in-cell highlighting, PLUS add a thicker border around affected cells. This is all done with CSS and/or media query. And don't forget to factor in time for system color theme testing!
