seeing lots of hate for the zora token because it doesn't grant any rights to holders imo this is good actually – we need more experimentation on what tokens mean, in all directions. not a memecoin, not a gov token, but an exciting new thing. bullish

this coming to you from the guy who likes token holder rights so much he runs a governance company if there's one team that can pull off a credible version of the polar opposite strategy, it's @jacob @dee and the zora crew

This is not hate, just constructive criticism. Zora seems to reward those who bring in referrals or have large followings with significantly higher allocations — people who already have influence and reach. Meanwhile, there's a huge gap between those who minted just one NFT and never engaged again, and those who have consistently used the platform for 3 years, supported it in every way, and stayed loyal to the ecosystem. It feels unfair that a KOL who minted a single NFT receives a large token allocation, while a long-term, honest user who minted OG NFTs and supported Zora actively receives very little in return. This isn't hate — it's just a reminder. Projects that recognize and reward long-term, loyal users — without extreme disparity — tend to have stronger, longer-lasting communities. I'm saying this as someone who genuinely cares about the future of the platform.

This is an L take imo There’s no point to launch a token if it doesn’t grant and holder rights. Team still has 65% allocated to them from a so called “content coin” right? Just another way to steal more imo. Not so smart too it’s disgusting.

Exciting new thing — is a big stretch. It's a pity that in such a charged climate this was this path was chosen. Lets call it what is is which is pump[d]fun on base.

Someone said it's ZORA INU. Well, let's see how this plays out, as I am not a fan of hating on coins. It's the team's decision to do with their token what they want. If there's even and sensible distribution of tokens, I bet it will do well.

The fact that it’s not pretending to be something it’s not? That’s the most honest launch I’ve seen in a while
