A lot of “$1M at retirement” advice quietly ignores inflation. If money loses ~3% of its value every year, $1M in 60 years buys what ~$167K does today. Compounding inflation is just as real as compounding returns. So you don’t need $1M, you probably need something like 4–6x that. It’s uncomfortable, but better to see the math clearly, aim higher, and arrive early than to find out too late you were playing the wrong game.

In the past 72 hours, a $11T Vanguard giant opened access to crypto ETFs, a $1.8T Bank of America said 4% in crypto is “about right,” and a $12T Charles Schwab is gearing up to offer BTC and ETH trading in early 2026. All this right after a brutal BTC + altcoin crash. Total coincidence, I’m sure.
