You remember that short cloudflare-induced Farcaster outage the other day? This is your reminder to - Have an alternate wallet ALREADY decided - Determine where to safely store your seedphrase/keys - Export your seed phrase and keys from Farcaster mobile app (ETH has both; SOL just has key) - import those keys into your alternate wallet That way you won't lose access to your funds when Farcaster is down AMA

Alternate wallet options, to name a few: - Rainbow - Rabby (for ETH) - Trust (SOL and ETH) - Coinbase Wallet (TBA in non-beta mode) - Metamask (works, but hard)

Safely storing your seedphrase options: - Password Manager - Password book in a safety deposit box (not really tho) Unsafe: - documents stored in the cloud (dropbox, onedrive, google drive, etc) - sticky notes on your monitor - tattoos

password manager is not the place to store your seed phrase. tons of lastpass users got drained after storing their seed online.

In general, I agree, however password manager is a very good place for beginners to start. Going from nothing to password manager is excellent. As they learn and grow, there are better ways. Lastpass is one I personally would never use for many reasons, primarily their record of compromises.

nah, would never put my seedphrase anywhere on my computer and donβt recommend beginners do it either. theyβre the least savvy when it comes to security and it takes one time getting rekt to never wanna come back.
