If you’re labelling a political opinion some variation of “it’s a mental illness” you are pathologizing political disagreement. 

It’s anti-intellectual,  anti-democratic and lazy.

Bear that in mind if you pride yourself on being an enlightened, hard working rationalist.

I see that a lot.  I dream of how an AI assistant, trained well, might help moderate some discussions by pointing out tactics and trying to come up with understanding and meaning instead of "winning".
