The rare times I’ve been to parties lately (in San Francisco and London), I was surprised by the strict enforcement of this rule: stickers over everyone's phone camera lenses at all times. No exceptions.

So what happens now that everyone’s basically Spy Kids? Will people be asked to remove their glasses? Will countries with strict privacy laws require visible recording indicators on devices like status lights?

It’s intense but is to protect individuals. These days people feel entitled to record other people and post them online.

No photo rules are also sometimes enforced (not always with a sticker) at members only clubs. An example of this violated recently was someone posting Taylor Swift’s photos at Casa Cipriani.

In some events, yes. Obviously I saw some people taking the sticker off to sneak a photo, but they got in trouble if caught by security doing this.
