$WARP is the unofficial official mascot for Farcaster. WARP is a symbol of being crazy enough to never stop trekking through the idea maze. The WARP mascot has the energy of a silly, goofy hacker who is willing to trying something new. The lore is beautiful. From 2022-2025, Warpcast existed. During this period, the early foundation of Farcaster was built: channels, mini-apps, frames, permissionless signups, etc. Some of these ideas failed. Some of these things gave Farcaster life. All were worth trying. When Farcaster inevitably becomes THE social protocol, we'll look back at the Warpcast era as the days of the true believers who had fun with a new kind of technology. As Chris Dixon puts it, "what the smartest people do on the weekend is what everyone else will do during the week in ten years". Warplets embody this quote. What the warplets are hacking with today will define how the next generation will approach communities, marketing, ecosystems, network states, and so on. Warplets are proud to be called stupid. Warplets are thriving most when outsiders don't understand what they're doing. Warplets are the crazies willing to put time into weird ideas. The only things Warplets need are coffee, internet connection, and a safe space to dream with other Warplets. Now ask yourself anon, are you a dreamer? If so, you are a Warplet.
