🌡 Thorn – What you disagreed with: - It’s overly simplified, while behavior change is often more complex – otherwise everyone would have amazing habits already and no one need to read but this book - Context plays a big role: personal motivation, emotions, life circumstances, culture or external factors - For how long is it possible to become 1% better every day? - Anecdotes are entertaining and makes it easy to understand the idea. 🌹 Rose – What I agreed with: - I already habit stack and love it because it works! Writing my morning pages immediately after waking up (morning pages notebook and favorite pen placed next to bed ready to go, no need for any type of thinking or decision making). After working out I stretch and this week I added balancing on one foot with my eyes closed. - Fall in love with the system (process, HOW) not the goal (product, WHAT) - Identity based habits "The goal is not to read a book, the goal is to become a reader" and to identify as a reader I need to read a book for at least 30 min per day. - Genes cannot be changed which means they the determine the area of opportunity. Pick the game that suits your genes best – or create your own game - "You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results." β€” James Clear
