btw, since it's so short, why don’t you use GIF? Is it bc of the severe limitation in the color palette? Just curious, I’m not a big fan of that format when color is involved.

Nice question! I always export to both formats and I prefer GIF. The only situations where I use video is when the colors are different from what I intended or the artwork has many elements that depend on shadow, smoke, or fluids. In this specific case, the pulsing didn't look enough like a blood flow in GIF format, so I had to use video.

I legit suffer every time I go from EXR to ProRes, and exporting to H.264? That hurts my cursed soul! 🤣 🤣

Hahahah I think it works decently because I rely mostly on fully saturated pallettes, so I don't use that many colors, it's just an illusion! Most of my stuff is just pure blue, purple, red, etc. So the 256 colors work just fine. What annoys me the most is the lack of smoothness in the textures
