Great TED talk. I'll be closely following developments along the way to the Artist Corporation (A-Corp) as a new legal structure. 

Writers and artists are tired of being left to fight over scraps. What if we lived in a world where they held real economic power? Or, as Yancey says:

"What if you didn't have to be in the top 1% to get that chance?"

Indeed. What if...?

Mad respect to you for devoting your career to changing the material conditions for creative people.

Took me many years to understand the real reasons why it's so hard for artists to make a living, even if they're at the peak of their careers.

It's refreshing and validating for the struggles we face to be recognized like this in public in such a dignified and forward-thinking way.
