Morgan Stanley's report says Hong Kong's stablecoin bill paves the way for offshore RMB stablecoins. Backed by a huge RMB liquidity pool (around 1 trillion yuan), these stablecoins could boost cross-border settlements. They might become part of RMB settlement infrastructure, alongside swaps, CIPS, and global clearing networks.
