It really got me thinking about how many women stay in relationships they know have ended. Their partner has already moved on, but they hold on tightly, convincing themselves they can win them back. Hoping. Enduring all the pain, telling themselves love will fix it. The lyrics alone are so haunting. “I’d rather go blind than to see you walk away from me, child.” It’s wild when you think about it. How deep love can run, how much it can make you endure, how it can blind you to everything else. It really makes me reflect on the kind of love I want for myself. I genuinely pray to find a love that is healthy. A love that is soothing. One that never makes me feel like I’d have to choose blindness over simply choosing myself. What about you?
