Childhood "is the first part of a trilogy of autobiographical novels created by Soviet author Maxim Gorky based on his own experiences (the other two parts are" On Earth "and" My University "). The work tells the childhood life of Alyosha (Gorky's nickname) from the age of three to ten, vividly depicting the living conditions of the lower class people in Tsarist Russia in the 1870s and 1880s. It portrays Gorky's understanding of suffering and his unique insights into social life, with a constant desire and strength surging between the lines.
