Announcing our first channel giveaway called "Chain Reaction" in celebration of /science and /dash's new channel browsing feature. Cast an original video into /science between July 8 and 15 to be eligible for rewards totaling over $600. Interact with people, ask questions, get curious, and share your knowledge. "Chain Reaction" was inspired by @newtp, who has been casting uniquely educational content and genuinely engaging with the community. They truly capture the spirit of what we've been calling Farcaster-first content. Everyone who participates will also receive a membership invite to the /videolab community, where being an early member will lead to more giveaways in the future.

Which AI program did you use to create this, and how’d you decide on this “avatar” (not sure what to call it)? Something I want to explore with /videolab is how people use AI for video content. It’s going to be a big part of what we see online going forward.

I made this video using a few AI apps/agents like ChatGPT, JoggAI, and some others. First, I created an avatar of myself (based on my own photo), then I wrote a script for the avatar to say. Once everything was ready, I put it all together into a video.. just like the one you're watching now. Another video 😁 https://farcaster.xyz/xbornid.eth/0xad9c8bc7

For me, there's something about the specific avatar, background, and the voice selection that gives me an AI spam vibe (particularly when you pair it with speaking about crypto topics). Given how much you have become familiar with video generation already, I think it would be worth experimenting with other forms. Thinking outside the box - like an animated character. I think you would get more engagement on your videos (if this is your goal) with a different visual. While you experiment with the new visual/audio possibilities, it could be interesting to take people along on your journey. Explaining how you create these videos, and involving other people in selecting an avatar, e.g., "Which one of these would you most prefer watching?"
