im supportive of nounish memecoins like $nogs, $lint and everything else that may come. just as ethereum has one canonical token that makes the system run (ETH) and memecoins within its ecosystem, so too will nouns have its one canonical token (NOUNS) and many memecoins that meme in different directions. + sum games.

yes BUT what i do find a bit troubling with $nogs comms is the “funded by nouns” official-ness marketing

ppl have been messaging me “oh nouns funded a memecoin?” and i’m like ugh… no we funded a name service protocol and they decided to launch an incentive token on their own

it was explicitly mentioned in the second NNS proposal and included as a budget line item though?

i get wanting to control the narrative but the facts simply don’t align with the statement
