Funny story
(I've probably told more than once [I'm forgetful af])
When I moved into my house about 20 years ago, we were cleaning a bit before we moved in. I was vacuuming one of the bedrooms and heard something rattling around in the vacuum. I stopped to check, and it was an earring! A diamond by the looks of it, about a half carat.
I contacted the previous owner about it, and he had rented this house to a couple and had no luck contacting them.
Anyway, it's been 20 years. I have seen this earring once since then; I had planned on verifying that it is in fact a diamond, but just didn't know what happened to it.
Last week, my wife found it! We both examined it, and are convinced it is a diamond, and quite clean (one super tiny occlusion); the mount is stamped 18k.
Today, I'm going to find out for sure! 2 replies
