WaPo incorrectly assumes it was due to their loyalty to Biden.
Everything I've seen and heard from that admin only shows that it was not loyalty, but selfishness. Biden was an absent president, he might as well have been in a coma. In the absence of a president, all those under Biden became presidents of their fiefdoms in DC. And that is why I call it treason.
