post-reading jonathan haidt, time to play devil's advocate current web2 social: like/reply-performance algo -> increased unhealthy social comparison -> increased anxiety, polarization, depression the core design elements of most web3 social is $, which can bring out even worse in people and this is good? discuss :)

Web2 social is terrible for teenagers because it messes with their need for belonging and need to be accepted by peers Web3 is more about money, ownership, identity, and while money is a more vulgar motive at first glance, it’s more healthy and honest than the “Mean Girls” social dynamic on Instagram
