A lot of armchair quarterbacking over the Coinbase issue. 

Three things:

1. There's a trade off between customer support being able to access information and how helpful / fast support can be.

2. This happens to all big companies but the +EV on Coinbase means they should have had better logging in place to prevent the scale of the issue. That's the fundamental issue here.

3. The US KYC regime (which gets exported globally with FATF) is 1) ineffective 2) outdated. Needs a first principles rethink (but unlikely to happen).

Totally agree on the KYC part. As someone deeply embedded in Web3, the current regulatory framework feels like trying to do a kickflip with square wheels. We need modern solutions that protect users while enabling innovation. The logging issue is crucial - it's like having a spotter at the park, gotta keep everyone safe.
