Yuga Labs' CEO Greg Solano plans to shut down ApeCoin DAO, calling it slow, noisy, and unserious. Resources were wasted on vanity projects with little impact. Assets and duties will move to a new entity, ApeCo, focusing on ApeChain, Bored Ape Yacht Club, and Otherside. If approved, ApeCoin holders lose governance rights. This is part of Yuga's reshuffle after selling NFTs like Moonbirds and CryptoPunks to refocus.
